CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY MUSCO CENTER FOR THE ARTS

JULIANNE ARGYROS ORCHESTRA HALL - CONCERT HALL MODE

Orange, California

Housed in the 88,000 square foot Musco Center for the Arts, the Julianne Argyros Orchestra Hall is a 1050 seat proscenium theatre that transforms into a concert hall by deploying a one-of-a-kind fully 120,000 pound flying orchestra shell.

Acoustics by Yasu Toyota and Nagata Acoustics provide a superior concert hall acoustic when the shell is installed, creating both the aural and visual experience of being in a bespoke concert hall.

The hall has hosted performances by the Colburn School, Placido Domingo, and countless other orchestras.

TheatreDNA provided theatre planning, theatre design, and performance equipment design and specification, subcontracted to Theatre Projects.
